FAQBefore you fly

Questions, answered straight.

A stable, hassle-free connection for mainland China, where your apps work like they do back home. Here are the questions travelers ask first.

When should I install my eSIM?

At home, on Wi-Fi, a day or two before you fly. The plan starts when it first connects to a network in mainland China, so installing early doesn't use up days.

Can I keep my US number?

Yes. The eSIM is data only and sits beside your main SIM. Your number stays on the phone, and WhatsApp keeps your existing account.

Do my usual apps work?

Our China plans use international roaming. Data is routed through a partner network outside mainland China (exit in Hong Kong, or Singapore on selected plans). Apps like Google, WhatsApp and Instagram usually work the way they do at home. That depends on the network and is not guaranteed. Network and coverage

What does a plan cover?

Mainland China only. Hong Kong and Macao are not covered. Plans are data only. They do not include a Chinese phone number.

When does the plan start?

When the eSIM first connects to a network in mainland China. Installing at home does not start the clock.

What's your refund policy?

You can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase if the eSIM hasn't been installed. Installed eSIMs aren't refundable unless there's a technical fault we can't fix. Email support@haalaan.com. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Refund policy
